Ty turned one a couple of weeks ago and so we switched him to a forward facing carseat. Boy was he happy about that. This is his first trip facing the world head on (so to speak). He thought it was so fun facing the same way as Chloe, that's who he's smiling at in most of these pictures.
We went to the Bracken's house the other day (or the other week, I lose track of time) and Beka let me borrow her old camera (YEA!). So she was trying to show me how to use it. I really don't know what I'm doing yet, but it is fun learning. And now I finally figured out how to get them on my computer, so here are some of my debut pictures. Thanks Beka. :)
Okay, I know I shouldn't leave my kids to their own devices, but...oops. I was on the phone with my mother-in-law perhaps a little too long in the other room, and since I heard no screaming from pain or major bangs, I wasn't worried. Then I found this... This is now their favorite game. I learned my lesson.
I lent my friend Bonnie some maternity clothes when she found out she was pregnant. She returned them recently and Chloe thought they were clothes for her to wear. Chloe was very excited and was able to put them on herself. For about ten seconds she was ecstatic. As the large maternity shirt hung off her barely three-year-old body, it hit her. These clothes just may not be for her after all. You would have thought, seeing her devastation, that she realized the world perhaps doesn't revolve around her after all. Absurd, I know. I finally convinced her that she could keep dressing up even though they didn't fit her and, yes, there were more tears. But overall she was well pleased. Especially when she found the two piece bathing suit (the bottoms actually stayed up and I tied the top on her so they would stay on too). So maybe the world does continue to revolve around Chloe, and every other toddler. She even was able to get Tyler to join her in her dressing up. Happy Chloe ...and 'the world is coming to an end' Chloe. Still sad Chloe... Finally, satisfied Chloe You get the idea... Tyler was just having fun. So laid back. It's nice to have at least someone in this house that's still laid back. I forget what that is like.
Okay, I know not a ton of people look at my blog, (mom, Beka, Sarah, Melisa, you guys are about it, in fact, I dare say you are IT.) but I do have to pose a question out there for anyone to comment on. I read the last of the Twilight Series this last weekend ( yes, I read it in one day), and I am DYING to talk about it with someone who has read it too. If you haven't read it yet or not finished, don't worry, I won't mention any spoilers, but I am curious to hear what you all thought of the book. Did you like it more or less than the others and why? I have to say that even though I read it fast and was sucked in like the others, I really didn't enjoy it like the first three. If this was the first book, I would not have read the others. I read 'The Host' and I actually didn't like it much either. I felt like I was reading 'The Host' again in some parts of Breaking Dawn. Did anyone else think that? So if you want or can, let me know. If you haven't finished yet, read the comments with care, there may be givaways.
Love you all!
P.S. By the way, I did like the book, but I didn't love it. It is still good, but my least fav. out of the four.
Look at me mom! I even have a chauffeur. Good thing Tyler is happy to drive Miss Diva around now. That may change when he is older with friends that he can drive around instead.
After putting both Chloe and Tyler to bed, I was surprised to hear a party in their bedroom a little while later. This is what I found.Chloe was caught red handed and was trying to quickly get back into bed. She had turned on all their lights and was playing peek-a-boo with Tyler. Tyler just thought I came to get them. He was a little disappointed when I didn't, to say the least.
This morning when I sat down to nurse Tyler, Chloe, who was right behind started asking her "why" questions. You know what I mean, "Why do you do this?" Then when you answer in the simplest form, the never ending why's follow until you usually end with "Because Heavenly Father Loves us" (if your still patient), or "Because I said so" (if your not so patient). So she was asking why I fed Tyler the way I do. This is about the 5th or 6th time she's asked me this, so I usually remember the regular answers that had finally satisfied her before. Me: "Because that's the way Heavenly Father made us." Chloe: "And Ty came from Heavenly Father?" Me: "Yes" Chloe: "And I came from Heavenly Father too, huh." Me: "yes." Chloe: "and I was a baby too, huh." Me: "yes" Chloe: "And Ty was big, remember?" Me: "Do you remember when Ty was big?" My eyebrows raised now. Chloe: "Yep, he was with Heavenly Father." Me: "Did you see him?" Chloe: "Yep, I was a baby and Ty was big. He was with Heavenly Father."
